The Cathedral Event Center is located in a convenient downtown Oakland location adjacent to the architecturally stunning Cathedral of Christ the Light, within view of Lake Merritt. We offer a variety of options to service your special event and meeting needs.
The Cathedral Event Center can be utilized for:

The main Cathedral Event Center indoor space is a state of the art 5,000+ square foot room which can be subdivided into up to five separate rooms according to your needs. This space offers Internet access, built in MP3 connectivity and separate lighting, sound and temperature controls for each subdivided room. The three largest rooms feature large retractable projection screens.
Additional spaces include the indoor Hall of Honor (2,100+ sq. ft.), the outdoor Courtyard (2,300+ sq. ft.) and Cathedral Plaza (40,000+ sq. ft.). Cathedral Plaza offers stunning panoramic views of Lake Merritt. Both the Courtyard and Cathedral Plaza can be used open air or tented.
An indoor parking garage is conveniently located directly under the Event Center. The Event Center is located a convenient four blocks from the 19th Street BART station. Please contact our sales staff for a proposal customized to suit your needs. To guarantee your event date we recommend that you contact us as far in advance as possible.
