Faith Formation: Children and Youth
“Let the children come to me; do not try to stop them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will never enter it. And he put his arms round them, laid his hands upon them, and blessed them." Mark 10:13-16
First Eucharist and Confirmation
As parents, you are the first and primary catechists of your children. The Catechism of the Catholic Church states “the role of parents in education is of such importance that it is almost impossible to provide an adequate substitute.”
Our role is to support parents like you, as you guide your child’s spiritual development. We encourage your efforts to build a strong culture of Catholicism at home, while providing educational formation classes for your children in the community.
We provide:
- Faith Formation Classes for grades 1-12
- First Eucharist/First Reconciliation Classes
- Confirmation Process

- RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation of Children)
We are currently accepting applications for all grade levels. Please refer to the Faith Formation Registration Form for details.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Breaking open the Word for young children takes place in the context of the Sunday Eucharist celebration at 8:00am. After the Opening Prayer, children are invited forth to hear God’s Word on an age appropriate level. Children rejoin the assembly to continue the celebration of the Eucharist with their parents during the offertory song. Children of age 5 to 13 are invited and do not need registration. We will begin on Sunday, September 11, 2011
